The MINI service department at Derek Woodman is delighted to introduce a new member to the team, MINI enthusiast, Klaire Brothwood.
Klaire is no stranger to Derek Woodman, having moved over from the BMW Service department where she had worked for the last two years. But her heart belongs to MINI and Klaire jumped at the chance to work with the brand she loves and drives herself.
Klaire began in the motor trade in 1997 as an apprentice Auto Electrician at TVR. Here she worked in the electronics department where she produced control units, wiring looms, and dashboard switches. Klaire also completed further qualifications to become a Certified Automotive Engineer (CAE) and became a member of the Motor Industry (MIMI).
After TVR, Klaire joined Mercedes-Benz of Blackpool as a Service Team Leader for three years before joining us here in January 2008.
Klaire currently drives an R56 MINI Cooper S in Dark Silver with a JCW spoiler and black wheels. But when asked what her ideal MINI would be, Klaire replied, “I would really like the MINI John Cooper Works World Championship 50 which is the limited edition model which is £33’000. Fully loaded as standard!”
Asked why she loves MINI, Klaire said, “I have fallen in love with the fun side of the brand and all the bits you can buy (I spend far too much in Chris's shop!). The brand is cool and funky and i love the way you can really be an individual and make your car completely different from everyone else’s. I also love going on the MINI runs and have quickly been accepted by all the MINI community.”
